Evaluation and Treatment

Orthodontic problems can involve more than just teeth; we look at the whole face when treating our patients.

At the first visit we discuss with you what the orthodontic problems are and whether or not treatment is required.

If treatment is required, then the type of treatment and the time of taken for completion are outlined in the first visit.  We will also discuss the cost of treatment and a suitable payment plan.

Going Ahead With Treatment

When you decide to go ahead with treatment, we will then take diagnostic records (see below); these are moulds of your teeth, photographs and x-rays, which we need to fully plan the treatment.

After the diagnostic records are assessed, treatment will commence.  Once treatment has begun, you will be required to attend, on average, once every 8 to 10 weeks.  You will be seen by your own Orthodontist, be it Dr. Sokel, Dr. Jayasekera or Dr. Seto.  Occasionally, if your Orthodontist is away, or you have an orthodontic emergency, you will be seen for that visit only, by another Orthodontist. For continuity of treatment, patients are to see their own Orthodontist at each visit.
