Three of Our Patients Win a Spot at the

DANCE AEROBICS NATIONALS - September 2010

Sunday, June 20th

This was the day we saw three of our patients dance their way to the National Dance Aerobics Competition at the State Competition (at the Moorabin Arts Centre). Groups of students represented both public and private schools from around the state.

Ellise Billings, Ebony Gall and Jorja Bromley plus 3 other year 8 girls from Shepparton High School, formed a group
that contested against girls up to year 12 (aged 18) and came third.  THis means they have qualified for the Nationals to be held in Brisbane later in the year.  Last year, after less than one year in the sport, the girls went to the Nationals and came fourth. This year they hope to do even better.

Initially the girls competed in the preliminary competition in May.  They began training in February this year.

KATIE AND ADAM ARE ENGAGED!

Kate Sullivan - 250 GAMES! - SEPTEMBER 2010

One of our staff members celebrated 250 games recently with the Kangaroo Flat (KF) Netball Club, a team in the Bendigo Football/Netball League.

Kate Sullivan played her junior years with St. Monica's and Golden City Netball, then began playing for Kangaroo Flat in 1997.  She plays Centre and Wing Attack.

During her time with KF, Kate has played in both the 'A' and 'A Reserve' teams, won 3 premierships and 5 runner up titles.  She also won 3 Best and Fairest honours for her Club and one for the League in 2000.

Kate grew up and went to school in Bendigo.  She initially trained to be a Dental Nurse and then moved to Melbourne to study to become a Dental Therapist at Melbourne Uni for 2 years.

She came back to Bendigo and worked as a Dental Therapist, and then moved to Perth for a year and a half.  Kate became qualified as a Dental Hygienist as well.

She came back to Bendigo in 2006 and began working for Bee Happy.  She recently married long time boyfriend, Linc and is enjoying being settled back in the local area.
